Explain ALL Winter Break Reading Assignments:
1. Literature Circle Groups-Choose which text you would like to read over Winter Break for the next Literature Circle Group Work and Presentation. Read the book you choose over the break and be ready to create and present a Literature Circle Analysis when you return in January 2016.
Each group MUST choose one of the following texts for this Literature Circle:
Life of Pi-Yann Martel
Farewell to Manzanar-Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston and James D. Houston
Lord of the Flies-William Golding

2. Read Waiting for Godot-Samuel Becket
(A tragicomedy in two Acts for a total of 109 pages)

- Take Notes on the play-You may make them as detailed as you see fit to benefit your understanding of the play.
- Be able to distinguish between Aladimir and Estragon: character traits, quotes, and their ideas about the future.
- Write a one paragraph summary for Act 1 and write a one paragraph summary for Act 2
I will collect the Waiting for Godot work when you return to class on Wednesday January 13, 2016.
HW=
1. Check out the book that you will read over the break today if you did not do so today in class.
2. Complete study guide and character list for Julius Caesar due on the day of your final.
3. Study for your Julius Caesar Final. You may use your graded ACT 1-5 notes for JC on the final. Bring paper and a pen and pencil on the day of your final for this class.
