Answer the following questions in complete sentences. Each question is 4 points each so this assignment is worth 40 points total.
1. What is the title of your current Literature Circle book and what page are you on as of today?
2. Name three characters from your L.C. book and explain who they are and why they are important so far in your book.
3. Write a one paragraph synopsis about your L.C. book. I want you to explain what is going on so far in your book up to where you currently have read as of today.
4. Predict what you think will happen at the end of your book. Explain what you think will happen to the characters and how the plot will change. Do you think there will be a happy ending or a tragic ending?

2. Write a one page response to the following questions:
Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot" is a parade of non-sequitors. What does this mean? Explain why the play is described this way. What happens with the disconnected moments encapsulated within the dialogue? And what might it (what happens during those moments) say about humanity?
Possibility for extra credit tomorrow for those students brave enough to share responses with the class. Bring it!
